21 Day Fix® Challenge

Is your New Year resolution to lose weight?  Yeah, so is mine.  Well, I am making it more of a goal than a resolution since I have a tendency to fall off the proverbial bandwagon after just a couple short weeks of a resolution.

In order to meet my goals, starting January 9th, I will be participating in the 21 Day Fix® exercise and nutritional program.  Now I can hear you asking, what is the 21 Day Fix®?  It is a Beachbody® program that has 21 days of (fun) workouts that also details how and what you should be eating so that you can meet your goals.  When you order the Challenge Pack, you get the exercise program, a 30-day supply of Shakeology®, color coded containers, the eating plan, and online support.  The color coded containers are used for portioning food so that you eat the right amount of food each day.  The colors are as follows:

Green – Veggies

Purple – Fruit

Red – Protein

Yellow – Carbohydrates

Blue – Healthy Fats

Orange (2) – Seeds and Dressings

Tsp (not included) – Oils and Nut Butters

Is this just another fad diet and exercise program?

NO!!  The 21 Day Fix® program has many transformations and success stories.  However, I will be honest with you.  It does not matter what program you choose.  You will not be successful if you do not put in the work.  This program has everything you need laid out for you in a simple format.  Your diet, your exercise, modifications if you need, and online support.  All you need to do is get your workout clothes on and prep that food so that it is ready to eat.

Just 21 days?  That’s it?

While the length of the program is only 21 days, this program is really meant to get you used to exercising for 30 minutes each day and clean eating.  You can do as many rounds of the program as you like or you can change to a different program like Core De Force.  You keep the containers and continue to use them.
